Jahringo

From the Smiling Coast to Berlin — roots, consciousness and positive vibrations.

Jahringo is a Gambian-born African conscious artist based in Berlin, Germany, whose music combines African roots, conscious messages, and global influences. Growing up in The Gambia, he was surrounded by traditional African music before discovering reggae and using music as a vehicle for education, inspiration, and social awareness.

After relocating to Germany in 2009, Jahringo continued developing his craft while building a reputation for uplifting songs that promote unity, self-awareness, cultural pride, and positive transformation. His growing catalogue includes fan favorites such as “Liberation,” “Good Vibez,” “Fire Burn,” and “The Root,” leading to the release of his debut album, The Overstanding, which has accumulated more than 1.5 million streams.

More than an entertainer, Jahringo sees himself as a messenger and cultural ambassador. His music reflects the experiences of Africans at home and throughout the diaspora while encouraging audiences to embrace purpose, consciousness, and connection. Whether performing with a live band or in an intimate acoustic setting, Jahringo delivers music that uplifts the spirit and sparks meaningful reflection.
